The Debke usually consists of a big group of people dancing holding hands, but sometimes people dance solo or with a partner. There are really no distinctive characteristics of this dance besides the music, stomping of the feet, and the holding of hands.

Although belly dancing is a thing of culture, some do not partake in it because of it's provocativeness. In Middle Eastern countries, most restaurants have a belly dancer that dances on particular days. It is a dance of extreme muscle isolation and control.
